Leave it to me, a certified genius, to literally fall at the feet of a gorgeous man.
Klutzy? That’s me. And of course it happened at the worst possible moment. Not all bad, though, because Ben needs help with his house renovation, and I need a job. Sure, I’ve only held a hammer once or twice, but carpentry involves math, right? And math I can do. Still, something about Ben doesn’t add up. Secretive phone calls. Two cell phones. Disappearing without explanation. He’s the town mystery wrapped in tool belts and broad shoulders. And when he kissed me - when I kissed him back - keeping things casual got a lot more complicated. But the more time I spend with him, the more I wonder what he’s hiding. He swears he’ll answer my questions “later.” I’m still waiting. And I’m not sure I’ll like the answers when they come. Opposites attract. Small-town secrets. One genius who might not be smart enough to guard her heart. |
